Wonderful game against Mitcham in quite bad conditions, namely gale force winds!! You woke up in the second half and took control and it was always going to be difficult to do that against a fast yet disorganised side.

TAFC Social - March 12th - Wine and Cheese tasting

Dear parents

The U14G are organising a fund raising for their tour in the US! on top of being a way to support them, I thought it could be a good excuse for a social ?? The tables will be made up of 8/10 people and it is asked that one person hosts their own table with other parents from the squad or friends/family. Their will be an auction with some brilliant prizes and also a raffle and other fun games. Please see the flyer below and hopefully we will see many of you there.

Please contact Martin Fairn on 07957 829866 or martin.fairn@gazing.com for tickets or enquiries

Home game against Mitcham on 7th Feb - 10am

as the saying goes... "dust yourselves off and try again..."  were we "unlucky"? did we need 2 halves of 35min as opposed to 30min to convert our opportunities? did we struggle because it was 10 of us on the pitch?  Was the pitch too heavy? Barnes too fast? ... whilst all of these could explain our first loss of the season (3-2) I, for one, have very little to say about how hard you tried and how well you played!
We held our own, we weren't outplayed at all!! we played well and organised and got in their halves a lot of the time!! kept control of the ball and moved it around - it just didnt seem to want to go our way!

  • Could we have been better up front and follow thru on the opportunities we created for ourselves? YES
  • Could we have been better at marking up their key offensive players? YES
  • Have we learnt from this? YES
  • Do we want to feel the way we did at the end of the game? NO ... and geez did I see you all pissed-off and disappointed....

This sunday will be your opportunity to show that you have learnt from the barnes-gate and be there ready to take on the challenge!

Meet 9am
KO 10am

Proud of you all girls!
