Caterham Pumas AWAY 13th March

Girls

What a tough game we have just come out of - They were physical and we let them get on our nerves... pressure mounted from the kick off, it was meant to be a tense game and it was!! Your desire to win was obvious. Your commitment was exemplary:
  • Sarah's forehead lump "didi" can testify to that!
  • sliding tackle (elin!??),
  • challenges (Kathryn's KO),
  • Ciara goalie performance, (green suits you mate)
  • Tonsilitis Fran spreading fever on her side,
  • shortest player Hero having her David&Goliath moments and not shying away,
  • HR getting cosy with their big striker in many shoulder to shoulder battles!
  • Shar constantly being pushed about by 2-3 BIG defenders!

tears and bruises anyone?!.... and even Lola came to help

- I am proud.... proud because your attitude was awesome, your hunger was awesome and you were awesome....what I particularly loved was that you remained positive throughout and supportive of each other! that's is the biggest take away for me!

- However we let it go in the same way we did against Croydon, because we dropped to their football when we should have been imposing our football.... we can play, and when we combine that with positive attitude we are unstoppable!

Back on the horse sunday away to caterham!

Kick off at 12
Meet at 11am

Home on sunday 6th march - 1pm KO

Guys how great it was to see you all so fired up on sunday... the adrenaline levels were running high, I personally was BUZZING! This game was to be our first big rendez-vous! and we turned up!! and we did in style! the excitement on the touchline was palpable... we were leading, 1-2...for a long while...and then... well I dont know if it is the pressure that got to you, the fitness level, the feeling that the game might be slipping away when they scored their 3rd (disallowed) goal or...what ! but we broke ... we broke despite all your best efforts.. and I can tell not just by the score but by the attitude! when the frustration and disappointment gets to you and when it feels easier to turn to your own team mates to vent as opposed to get your teeth into the game and your own very battle, that is when we loose a game...

LET'S MAKE THAT A LESSON LEARNT!!! our strength is our team spirit, is our togetherness and our respect for each other...EVERYONE tries hard..EVERYONE! and I very much respect you all for that!!  follow my lead ;-)

remember it is a team effort, together we win, together we loose!

That being said guys, again I am so mega proud of you! you have a massive potential and the league is still within our reach.... let's turn up BIG time on sunday against rushmoor and take no prisoners! I want you to start getting excited about your performance and how great you are going to be as of now!!

Meet at 12 !

See you there

Christelle

PS: BIG THANK YOU to HERO for putting up with the cold, cheering her team mates on and coming all that way for only 10minutes of play time! this is also testament of a great team player!
