Holland Tournament - DEADLINE 23rd November

Dear parents

I have had the doodle poll out about the holland trip for quite some time and I NEED to have a decision before the end of November otherwise we will run out of time to arrange all the logistics!

I still need to hear from Sophia, HR, Lottie, Fran, Elin, Sharna and Jen - I need 11 players so all are needed really.
IF I don't hear from these players by the 23rd november then I am pulling out of the tournament altogether!

PLEASE reply ASAP - thank you

Ps: If you cant attend as a parent, don't worry, there will be enough adults to manage the players coming

CUP game forfeited for sunday 1st of novembre

Guys ... we dont have enough players for the cup game against Rushmoor and so therefore we have to forfeit
PLEASE use that time to PRACTICE your first touch and kicks!

NO GAME ON THE 25th of October - but TECHNICAL WORKSHOP INSTEAD FOR THOSE WHO WANT

Guys, after a nail biting 2-1 win against a much improved Mitcham we have the week end off to relax and PRACTICE our first touch!!!

I am happy to hold a session on sunday in teddington at the rec for those who are keen to practice their technic! as we witnessed on sunday, the elusive "first touch" got us in trouble on many occasion because it was badly managed.... the ability to kick the ball how high or low we want to is also very important and can improve with practice!

So I can be available to practice this with you around lunch time on sunday  - PLEASE let me know ASAP!! if I dont hear from anyone by FRIDAY 23rd -  I wont make the trip

Tournament in Holland - 26th-29th march - please respond to the DOODLE POLL ASAP

We have a fantaastic opportunity again to meet our dutch friends who have invited us to take part in their tournament (80 teams)... but I need to know who is available to see if we have a team! it's 11 a side so we need at least that many!

thanks

ANY NEW or REPLACEMENT SHIRTS NEEDED??

Guys for those of you who find that you need to stretch your shirts (home or away) or that your short is getting too tight (I know it's the fashion but still....!) please send an email to MAIREAD (kathryn's mum) so that she can order it for you ASAP!

We had a massive back order which has now eased up so she should be in a position to get thesse quickly for you

Thanks

Health and Fitness for the Female Football Player - how to prevent injuries - please read

Girls

The joy of playing football sometimes must be tempered by the fact that when you step onto the pitch, you accept the possibility that you may get injured. When you decide to play football, one of the last things you think of is the possible injuries that might keep you off the pitch or even stop you playing altogether. Please read the doc below, it'll help you ensure you play football as long as possible - it'd be a shame to have to stop for something we can prevent

Good reading!!

TAFC U15G Social calendar . Dates for your Diary 4/12 and 17/12

Lola’s grandma is again offering her realm of peace and quiet for our 3rd edition of the “sleeping is cheating” sleepover. Although this is a social, it’s a very fun team bonding get together and it will be great that ALL players attendtake part in this! The day is Friday 4th of December after training!  Any ideas, of theme or games or others the girls would like to add PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!

2nd social will also be in December – Sarah Dillamore is playing in a show (Christmas carol) and I am sure she would really value the support of her team mates! Date is Thursday 17th December at 5pm – we can do our Christmas meal afterwards! probably pizza or nandos (parents welcome to the meal but this is mainly for the players)

Next question : TOURNAMENT: we have been invited by the dutch team we met 2 years ago to a tournament – dates are 28th March OR 6th may. Anybody who DOESN’T want to go? I have no ideas of cost yet but they have offered to help with accommodation… PLEASE CONFIRM EITHER WAY

Sunday 18th October AWAY - meet 11.15am

Girls,

Again let me congratulate you on a magnificent win against Barnes last sunday. Barnes may only have had 10 players on the pitch BUT proved themselves very threatening with 4 key players showing some strong technical abilities which put our defense under pressure. Kathryn was awesome and displayed THE saves of the season so far...a nice first dive on her first real 1v1 in her box and using the Jedi force to thwart barnes's (unfair) penalty shoot out. Very good!

The attackers were outstanding in some great 1 touch passing and crosses with strong finishes from our current top goal scorer SHARNA! Lottie, Ruby, lola, jen et Elin ( and subs HEro and Fran) feeding into our striker in the most beautiful manner

Our defenders made some great challenges and organised themselves to use the offside line to their advantages (despite the ref not spotting it on 2 occasions) - clearing their line very assertively and feeding the midfield moving forward!

You all played outstandingly -  players of the match : Ruby and Sharna

Strong mindset, confidence and team effort will be needed again this sunday for our match away at Mitcham! I trust you will all turn up roaring to go!

PILATES......PLEASE BRING THE OVERDUE MONEY TONIGHT !

Guys,

Dave has made it possible for us to have pilates after each training session - I don't know if you all realise the value of 30min of core strengthening and stretching yet but trust me ...it is an essential part of your development as an athlete.. and not just for football! I helps prevent injuries, make just stronger and a good way to unwind.

I understand that those of you who signed up for Pilates have either not turned up at some sessions, or not paid?
Please understand that based on the commitment you made, Narelle booked the room to accommodate - So now on top of offering a discounted rate to help us benefit from her session, she finds herself further out of pocket because she has to cover the cost.

Can you please ENSURE that you bring the outstanding money you owe TONIGHT AND attend the last session of Pilates please?

Please understand that I am not trying to blame/shame anyone - however those who made the commitment to be there need to uphold it.

Sunday the 4th of October - NO Game - Friday training PILATE IN ON!

There will definitely be pilates friday the 2nd after training this week. Please can all the girls who signed up for pilates come to this session as Narelle has based her cost per session on 8 from our squad being present and is making a loss because of the cost of hiring the sports hall.

The session this Friday and the final one next Friday will be the last two sessions for this part of the season.  Please can each girl bring £4 to pay for these two sessions (£2 a session) so that Narelle does not end up owing money after being so generous with her time and expertise.
