dear all
it is sharna bday soon and it would be great to all go and celebrate with her! the party will be taking place on the 15/10 7pm to midnight. Fancy dress for all - well mainly for the "kids" and adults, who are welcome, can choose to play along or be party poopers!
Can you please let Selwynn if you will attend and how many so that he can plan food and drinks
He will let you know the address too as I dont want to post it on the blog...you never know if a mob of teenagers decide to rock up at Selwynns door thinking it's an open party! LOL
Thanks
Christelle

Sunday 2/10 away to Crystal Palace - AWAY KIT
Girls!!!
What a fantastic, crisp and efficient display of football against Mitcham - no subs, 4 players missing, brand new keeper on the pitch, even when swapping the back line with the forwards! we nailed it ....they got frustrated, they got physical ...but we worked hard to not let that get to us! We took knocks and kicks and push and elbows, but we didn't let it get to us! THAT's how you win a game, by keeping the focus ! very proud of all of you for it!!!
13 goals to 1, the save of the season so far from "cat-like" Jennifer who's ability in goals were quite impressive!
This sunday we are away to crystal palace - for a real test ! MEGA apologies from Ed and myself as we, quite coincidentally, away this week end and can't be more gutted about it but we have 150% faith in you all to step up and win this game! We are organizing a coach for you so you wont be on your own!

Home again. Sunday 25th September. 11AM Kick Off. Mitcham Park Diamonds
After a bit of a chaotic start to the morning, we eventually got down to business.
Beecholme Belles have put up a good fight before, but the first 15 minutes saw us keep control of the ball, and the game! Its fair to say we were the stronger side and applied a pretty constant pressure... keeping the ball when required, and passing out of trouble when it came.
But the lesson today was we can never let our guard down. As we let our shape slip, they started to take advantage of the new found space. They were calm, and took their chance. A good ball through.. a moments hesitation.. and we were behind.
It was virtually their first shot on target and I'm sure their manager would agree... a lucky goal.
Those that maybe let the fitness slip over the summer were certainly glad of the half time whistle, when we were able to catch our breath and re group.
They were very VERY organised at the back, and time after time we were thwarted at the last. Their recent signing of Sunbury's keeper kept them in the lead as we started to shoot more frequently. Great corners from Lauren (welcome to the team Lauren!!), strong and determined work from Bella in the middle (welcome to the team Bella) and busy pressure from Sharna and Katie up front (welcome to you too, Katie!!) gave everyone watching, the belief that a goal would come.
And when it did, it was a great example of grabbing whatever chances come up. A neat ball from the middle for Sharna to run on to, and sheer determination from last seasons highest goal scorer brought us level. A valiant effort from their keeper, but a lovely bit of skill from Sharna.
We should have sealed the deal as we basically made camp in their half, if not their box, but it wasn't to be. Maybe a point was fair, but it could have (and probably should have..) been all 3 for us.
Well done everyone of you. Your heads didn't drop, and you fought till the end. A good sign of things to come
So this week, its our old favourites Mitcham.
You all know what you have to do. Lets have this.

Home on sunday the 18th - 11am KO St Mary's Pitch- Beecholmes belles
Welcome back Girls and well done for your first game of the season with a fantastic win at Caterham. We all admitted that we had a scrappy start, thankfully our strength and caterham's lack of experience meant that we were well ahead at half time - the second half was definitely much better with some great passing and movement off the ball and great finishes. We experimented a lot with different combination and formation - HR right wing and sharna centre defender was a first, It gives us a lot of option going forward and a chance for some to play in a new role.
We are in a great position this year and have a squad of 16!!! so the decision has been to take 2 or 3 subs per games .With a matchday squad of 14 selected (on a Friday night after training) two girls will be unused every week. This will fairly distributed around the squad and will obviously include allowances for absences due to other activities. On the other hand, absence from Friday training will usually make the management’s squad selection decisions much easier. So please make sure you treat training on Fridays as an absolute MUST ATTEND!
we will still be running fitness session on wednesday - i will mostly be running them, however the girls will self run in case I or Ed cant make it
This sunday we are at home 11am KO
meet at 10AM
Every game matter!
