Dear Teddington Athletic U15 Parents,
Re: Details for our camping night.
Important:
Firstly,  we are very excited you are coming to the fields this weekend. Hope you can all still make it. Could you confirm to me via email as soon as possible (Julie@penneyfamily.co.uk) the number of adults and children coming in your family to
a)     BBQ on Saturday night (special requirements if any)
b)     Want Breakfast Sunday morning

I will be getting the food Friday morning early so would really like to have it all confirmed by then. If you can’t come would you also let me know.

Secondly,
Stewart is planning to go down Thursday night to set up the tent. If any parents are interested to go down too let Stewart know (07889-362123)

Arrive anytime from 12.30 (Bring packed lunch) Stewart will be there with Ruby & Tallulah. (Stewart’s mobile number is 07889-362123)

Penney Fields Address: Westlees Farm, Logmore Lane, Westcott, RH4 3JN. (About 35 minute drive from Teddington)

For those of you who have not been there before we will have a Penney and Co Estate Agent board at the top of the field. You will need to turn left down the hill when you see this board. Keep going to the end, it bears round to the left and we are on the left at the bottom of the hill. I have attached a map to help you.  Any problems please call Stewart and he will direct you.

·        Pitch up tents on arrival + Lunch
·        Various Games
·        Football match
·        Light the BBQ from 5/6pm –
o   Stewart and I will buy the burgers and sausages. Can I ask  you to bring your food if you have any special requirements or let me know as soon as possible and I can get.
o   Parents to bring: a salad/ or pudd, soft drinks for kids, alcohol and if the kids want to make a cakes for pudding.
o   We will have squash, water, hot chocolate, tea, coffee.

Depending on weather, walk to pub or hang around the field. If weather is bad we will probably pack up after breakfast.

We are more happy for any of you to bring your dogs along for the night if you feel they will not interfere with any of the animals.  A farmer currently has his cows in one of our fields and there is a newborn calf, less than a week old. There may be also 3 sets of piglets. We also have horses in the surrounding fields. I leave this entirely up to you to decide.

Awards and party... THANK YOU and WELL DONE!

Girls what a weekend!!!

Thank you all for being there to celebrate with me as I m turning 40!! it wouldn't have been the same without you all there.... and I m glad you enjoyed the boat girls!!...and the crepes....and the bouncy castle ;-)

Big congrats for your achievement this season! we actually ticked off all of your objectives :

  1. Top3 league table
  2. Have fun
  3. Improve your skills

on top of that you have become such a tight, fun and more mature group and you are making memories of a life time ! thank you all for being so awesome
And thank you Sarah for delivering such a great and heart-felt speech on behalf of your team mates...  Ed and I felt very emotional about what you said and it's so nice to hear we are having an impact!

Awards went to :

  • Jennifer: Managers' player
  • Ruby : Coaches' player
  • Sarah : Players' player

Proving once more that what makes a great football player is not just how many goals they score....  what they bring to the team and their own commitment is what makes the difference! well done girls!!! very well deserved

Thoughts go to Captain Ciara who couldn't share this moment with us but deserves a big round of applause for leading her team the way she did!!! well done mate

Next season's mission :           LEAGUE WINNER!

No More training session BUT.......please read!

Dear all

Still buzzing from our last game and the great turnaround by "magic boots" Jennifer spurred on by a fantastic team dynamic and push and encouragements from the line!

This was sadly the last game of the season but I am glad to report that, in line with your goals set in september, we finished THIRD in the league this year!!! fantastic effort from all and what a year!!

Now what's next?

  • Training: I understand there was a little "incident" last week when most of you turned up, in fact more than we've had all season, at training! sorry for the confusion and sorry for the fact that you got turned down! So just to confirm, we have no scheduled training sessions until end of april
  • End of year: with the camping on the 4/06 and my party on the 14t may I think that our social calendar is well catered for ...so we will organise the Bubble football as a kick off for the BEGINNING of next season
  • Next year : We are setting ourselves up for a great year and I will explain more soon - I think we should be aiming HIGH
  • Football Summer : I will expect you all to keep a level of fitness acceptable for a fast start in september ... you are moving to U16G and this is now a different story as far as the fitness is concerned. I will be organising ad'hoc kick around/fitness sessions in Udney Park followed by pizza ...or salad :-) so stay tuned

VERY PROUD OF ALL OF YOU !!!

TAFC Award ceremony - 15/05 2pm - Udney Park

TAFC Annual Awards
Team presentations - barbecue - drinks: Come and celebrate the season's successes at Udney Park Road

Our annual awards is coming up very soon and we desperately need your help to make this a great fun day for all the teams after their hard work this season.

We need a lot of help with barbecuing, serving drinks and some heavy work for set up and clear down... And the more people we have to help the less time commitment will be needed. Where possible we will also put your slot before or after your awards presentation (see timetable below).

Can each team please put forward a parent who can be our contact and will recruit helpers within their team.

Thanks very much indeed and we look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible  - Less than two weeks to go!

Best regards
